If you are one us, the many, the ashamed, the hungry, then you like to eat. A lot. It's mental hunger, emotional eating, so there is no good reason NOT to play mind games with yourself to make better choices.
I try to make every meal seem as big as possible, make it last. Small plates, high fiber, voluminous foods, but my favorite trick is the open-faced sandwich.
Every sandwich I eat now, I eat open-faced. Hot, cold, it doesn't matter. I make them on pita, sandwich thins, occasionally indulge in sliced sourdough... all open-faced.
Well first off, I love sammys.
But mainly, because open-faced it's twice as much.
Not really, but it does take twice as long to eat, or close to it.
It seems like more.
Perception is reality.
Whatever works... works!
