Its been a pretty good week for me. I had a very busy week at work and found I couldn't get up to our company gym as much as I would have liked to. However, I did use my treadmill most days this week, with the exception of a couple of days where my back decided to act up.
I truly believe the back pain will soon be a thing of the past. With each day passing and the exercises I have been doing my back pain has already dramatically reduced. This makes me happy.
I weighed in this morning and found I was down 1 pound. I wanted to do a backflip! I have been struggling for so long and to see any downward movement on the scale makes me really happy. It keeps me motivated, even though I have been trying hard to not focus on the scale I still find my emotions very strongly tied to the number.
On a side note, since it is Sunday I decided to try a "healthy" breakfast this morning. I decided to make the Banana spice waffles that are in the SP cookbook. I have to say - "WOW" they are awesome. I have to say they are deceiving - they may look small but holy cow are they ever filling. I ate two waffles with sliced banana / strawberries (with a dash of sugar) and 3 slices of turkey bacon. I must say that I was STUFFED, almost uncomfortably so. I think next time one waffle will be lots. And, surprisingly they are so delicious that for the first time in my life I at a waffle without needing butter or syrup!! Thanks Chef Meg!!!!!
So there it is - my first time making a SP recipe and it was a hit. I made enough I will be taking some of these waffles to work for breakfast. Yum, yum, yum......
