And the Punchline is...

Saturday, February 04, 2012

Recently, I have implemented some minor but apparently powerful changes to my routine. I noticed that when I have to sit down to work I sometimes have a hard time focusing. I decided to invent a segway.

I now set my alarm for 15 minutes and paraphrase, analyze and generally indulge and internalize one of my favorite books, "Creating Money" by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer.

I am doing on my computer and not printing it out. This is a great book about the cosmic and spiritual side of attracting money and other good things. I have recommended it in the past and I continue to recommend it.

This segway is a bridge from my domestic and personal life that provides a smooth transition into my professional life.

The second thing I do is that most days I write three or more journal pages. While I have written a journal for many years, I am trying to do it on a more regular basis. I find that it helps me to acknowledge and highlight the life lessons that I am learning each day. Normally, they would be in the back of my mind and I would move on. Now, I am shining the light of understanding and insight upon them.

I am also writing here much more frequently. I am getting encouragement, feedback, insight and the benefit of experience from other Sparkers. I know I am not alone out there. I want to thank you all for that.

Now for the punch appetite has diminished--in a good way. I am not as hungry as often as I was. I am also finding it disconcerting that I would like to eat for the sake of eating and I just don't have any room. I feel as though if I eat, I will burst.

I must say that I have also been visualizing myself at a healthier weight--being more energetic, walking with more ease and balance, have more knee comfort--not necessarily in smaller clothes. I am doing my best not to judge myself but to think about how great it would be if I could do those small things more easily.

I am getting to bed earlier and getting more sleep.

I am also getting all those business nibbles. I think that my introspection is affecting my life in a very good way.

Now, if I could only get over my Blog Block for blogging on my web site....

Now to keep on keeping on...

I also want to thank all of you Sparkers who have been visiting my web site. Any feedback you can offer would be appreciated. Also, I welcome any suggestions you may have for blogs you would like me to write or questions you have about fashion, trends or general image.

Thanks again!

First, and foremost, thanks for sharing your secrets and strategies on how to focus better. I always find such a wealth of information when I read your blogs. I have always struggled with the notion of tangible wealth and so I believe I am going to download that book a little later today and see if it has any value to me.

Writing or journaling is always a good way to get your thoughts and feelings on paper and actually make them more tangible. I have journaled for over 20 years and one of the things I really enjoy is going back and looking at what my perspective was five or 10 years ago. Thank goodness for the Internet and computers or we would have to contemplative room addition to keep the physical journals. LOL

It has never failed, that when I fill my day with meaningful activity, the less likely I am to abuse food. Thank you so very much for all these reminders. This is a most excellent way for me to start my week.
