We went to Ludlow Reservoir but there was no parking
so we ended up at Nathan Bill Park instead.
It was still a great time. We walked for a little over an hour, and stopped to touch base with our "inner child" along the way!
(The website is not letting me download all the pictures, so I'm going to add them to my photos on my sparkpage....I hope you will check them out!) Anyway, its all about being good to ourselves, giving and getting support, and just having fun doing something you love to do.
Regarding hikes, my goal for this year is AT LEAST 12- once a month minimum. I love the outdoors, and am determined to make my fitness coincide with my love of the outdoors as much as I can. Time flies when I am outside, with a friend or even alone, because I love it so much. Fresh air feels great.... sunshine even on a cold day provides Vitamin D that makes me feel so much better!
I post upcoming walks on Pioneer Valley Goalgetters team page under daily chat. I also list them on SparkAmericaMA.com under events. Anyone that can join me is welcome, and if not, I hope the idea of hiking gives you another option to add to your ideas for cardio.
Can't wait for the next one- I'm honestly thing about going to Heritage Park tomorrow if the weather is as nice as it was today! Because come Monday, back to the rat race!
Be good to yourselves, and find a way to incorporate something you love to do into your fitness routine as you continue on your journey!
