Well - I know I've been slacking off (not exercising, eating carelessly, etc.) but it really hit me when I was in a sushi restaraunt with my daugher 2 nights ago and I turned and looked at my reflection in the full-length window. WOW! UGH! My clothes didn't fit well (tight), my face looked bloated and I looked, well... old. Now - I'm 45, so I'm not exactly a spring chicken, but I've always looked young for my age - I was still getting legitimately carded (not just because they had to) at age 30 - but this was a shock. Enough of a shock (finally) to get me back on the wagon. For good.

SIDEBAR: I absolutely love the picture of me (it's in my pictures) of me and my kids just after I had lost 40 pounds. I love it. And that doesn't happen often. I need to get back there, and it wasn't that long ago either.

Back to the story: I got home and spent yesterday feeling sorry for myself, stuck inside during the big snow storm, and made cookies. Yep - made cookies. Now that's a healthy way to deal with my personal disappointment... NOT! After that (I only had 2 - and it's a gluten-free adjusted light recipe so it's not the worst thing in the world) I started making my plan. This morning I reset my spark goals and weight ticker (to show pounds lost) and today I'm making my goals public to my family and putting them front & center - including that picture of me that I so love. My kids LOVE check lists, so this will be fun for all of us. I got up this morning and exercised (for the first time in probably a year, other than skiing and biking for family fun). I ate a healthy breakfast. I took the half-and-half in my coffee back down to 1 Tbs (I was using probably 4-6 Tbs).

1. Make my goals poster.
2. Make my checklist/spreadsheet.
3. Make my weekly meal plan (this was SUCH a huge help during my 40 lbs lost)
4. Make my grocery list and shop.

Oh - and keep up with work and kids.
I CAN do this... I've done it before and I can do it again!

And I need to find some more SparkFriends to help keep me motivated. (I haven't done this in so long that a lot of my friends have disappeared... much like I did!)
Happy Saturday to me and to all!
