Not Losing Weight? DUH!

I've been slogging around for months now. Lose 2 lbs, gain 3, lose 3, gain 2....back & forth with the same 2-3 lbs. And I've been whining about it....well it's time for a little truth...

I'm snacking too much, a few pretzels here, a bite of cake, late night glasses of wine. Time to quit whining & own up to the fact that I'm not trying hard enough. If I really want to lose these last 5lbs I need to own my behavior & show up!

My granddaughter is getting her bachelor's degree May 3. Would that be motivation enough? Yes, I think it is! emoticon

    I need to do the same thing and start doing something about the 14lbs that i need to loose and get them off once and for all instead of muckpuppying around/.....

    Beverly, that is so much like I do -- and I also found it is the little things that add up! But I think you are right about the graduation/motivation -- having something like that to look forward to and a specific date helps me resist the temptations.

    Chewing gum helps me avoid snacking, as does brushing my teeth (if I'm home)

    now the next time you need to snack, grab the water and down it, drinking water will take some getting used to, but soon you will not feel like you have to be snacking. It works for me, I hope it will work for you. Good luck
