Tiny, short blog

Thursday, February 02, 2012

My SIL's mom has a recurrence of breast cancer, very active non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the breast cancer has spread to her spine.

No radiation, 6 rounds of chemo. My SIL is coming home on Sunday, 1/5/12 but will return her mom's in Seattle for each round of chemo.

As my SIL says, "we covet your prayers" youngest niece (Micayla, age 6) wants her mommy home 'right now'.

Thank you all for your prayers, positive thoughts, etc. Blessings to each of you on your journey.

So sorry to hear this. I know it's going to be a long journey ahead of all of you, but God is in charge, and He works all things to good. I shall pray for your SIL's mom, for your SIL and for the whole family---and I'll pray that God gets the greatest glory from this so that something good and beautiful can come from it, even though it's hard for any of us to see that right now.

That is a lot for SIL to be dealing with and you as well.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Remember though to keep taking care of yourself as well.

God bless.

we cannot walk in someone else's shoes, just offer a word of support to you and the family at this difficult time. Children are very resillient and with all the love surrounding them will come through as strong young people.
best wishes to everyone

It's hard to carry the hurt when your family is suffering. I will be praying for both of them, but also for you. Love bears all things.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. That is the key, my SIL is tired, been away from her youngest two for 10+ days now and is trying to support her mom, get her mom's house cleaned and make herself ready for the next 5 chemo treatments.

My prayer through this is that my SIL would really, really focus on her weight, lose some, and take care of herself so she is here to raise her youngest 2, Micayla age 6 and Quinton age 7 as well as support her older two, Ken age 21 and Rebecca age 17.

My SIL is probably 50 pounds overweight but says she is 'fit', just chunky. No, I see a family history repeating itself and denial will not keep it from happening. Thank you all! This really was to be a short blog...and not more comments! Thank you!!!!
