Got gas? My goodness, the tummy don't care for the Paleo thang! At least not my gut. I was down in the dumps, constipated even with all the veggies & fruits I was eating, and the bowels were clearly communicating to STOP the INSANITY!

Now, for some folks Paleo is a miracle! I read all the success stories, saw pictures, and was convinced that for some body types this must be a very strengthening and tonifying way to eat. The before & after photos were AMAZING! A mother of 3 boys went from a size 14 to a 0 within a year. For her, clearly, she looked stronger, more energized and was running marathons to boot.

However, ladies and gentlemen, this body right here in front of the keyboard rejected the idea of eating 100% Paleo...which is enjoying lean meats, veggies, fruits, some nuts & seeds BUT no no's were dairy, legumes, beans and grains. The idea being to eat like a cave-woman. Sounds like a plan, right? I guess just not for me.

As I continue to sample ways of eating and find where all the stars align for me nutritionally speaking, I see over & over that each body is a unique vessel and deserves a unique approach to health.

One more reason to be thankful and grateful that I am learning that very same principle at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition: it's called "bio-individuality".

By the way, I graduate in 10 days!
So excited to take my experiences, knowledge, degrees, listening skills and love into the world to help others discover their unique plan for ultimate health & vibrancy too.

PS: Tonight I made Dr. Fuhrman's Anti-Cancer Soup for the very first time...my house smells so yummy!

Take care,
Love & Peace,
Jessica

In my experience with animals... all animals have a species-specific diet. When they diverge from it, there are signs. For example, cows. Cows are herbivores. They chew greens all day. 4 stomachs, the whole bit. You can feed them grain, but they get sick. Their poop smells horrible (where a grass-fed cow smells very mild and unoffensive). Their stomachs actually begin to have holes worn in the lining from the acidic byproducts of digesting grains. This is the main reason why so many antibiotics are used on cattle.

You tried eating meat and you got some signs!

RAWORGANICVEGAN You make me laugh. I know some very kind and loving people who eat meat. Including myself. emoticon

Honestly, I can't see anyone eat meat & dairy and be healthy. We are herbivores! But perhaps some humans ARE carnivores. I'll have to see their jaws and teeth and see if they eat their dogs and cats too.
