So, what will we do with this Wintertime we have to face for another 6 weeks? Sit around, go skiing or sledding, go to the gym, read a book, take a brisk walk, keep busy with other fun things, or just plain do nothing? Many of you live in warmer climates or countries that are having a different season or temperatures. It is great for you to have this. Many Ohioans go to Florida for the cold months we have here. They call themselves the "Snowbirds." Love warmer weather, but need to face where I live and make a plan. I hope to do many active things to get ready for Spring. How about you? There is a cute comedy, many of you probably have seen, called, "Groundhog day." See it if you have not and see what you think. (-: (-: Laughter rewards the soul and we all need to laugh with and at ourselves each day.
Christmas is over for 2011. January is gone. Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday, the 5th. Plan snacks ahead if you can. I know it is a day that is hard to control all the eating. Then, we have Valentines day coming a week from Monday on the 14th of Feb. Primary election day on the 6th of March here in OH. Not sure if that is your day too? Then of course, St. Patty's day on March 17th, first day of Spring in OH is on the 20th of March. Spring will creep up on us and we will then know if all the activities we did (or did not do) helped our health and our bodies feel better. Doing it will prove successful, I am sure. More exercise each day really proves to be beneficial. I know it and really find I feel so much better, not only physically, but mentally, when I exercise each day or at least several times a week. I am planning and tracking for better healthy days and new recipes to help me be determined to do better. Easter is coming too on April 8th here. Hope I am thinner and focused when it arrives.
I think what it all boils down to, we will always have holidays, parties, events, any many reasons, or other things in our lives that can keep us from eating healthy and exercising. Being determined to stick to the plan will really show up on the scale. We can do this. I can do this. Let's get moving and make this a wonderful 6 weeks before Winter.
