Day 38

emoticon Greetings!

My day 38 went well. I have been sticking to my nutrition plan and my exercise plan for 3 weeks now. I am feeling good and strong. So happy that I have not quit. I have not had a blood pressure drop that usually happens when I cut calories. I am eating plenty and I am full for a good while after I eat. I have the water drinking down.

My family is being very supportive and the folks at work are too. I think that they see the determination in my eyes that says, "Don't you dare ask me if I want that donut."

I have been eating greek yogurt for a few days. So today I grabbed a regular fat free yogurt and it tasted so sweet that it set my teeth on edge. I can't imagine what would happen with a piece of pecan pie (my favorite).

My son gave us a gift card for the Darden restaurant group. I was thinking that if I hit my 10% goal,(20 pounds, only 4 pounds away) by February 14th that my husband and I would go out to dinner. I am looking over menus to see what I can eat. I am leaving nothing to chance. I refuse to fail. I will not go back. I will learn how to control myself.

My Motto: It's all in the planning. Leave nothing to chance.

    You're doing great. Planning ahead is key....it's okay to enjoy an occasional splurge, when you plan in advance and know the cost. We can't go through our lives without any enjoyment. We just need to make wise and informed choices and you are doing an amazing job at that for the short timme that you have been Sparking! I am impressed! You'll be at the 10% goal before you know it!

    Determination is half the battle! And sounds like you have a good dose of it! You'll hit that first 10% in no time! Spark on!

    You're doing great and you're right an important piece to being successful is planning. I read on someone's blog that she actually tracked the food in advance. Guess you could do that with exercise too.

I'm going out to lunch today and already planning ahead what I'm going to eat. I have to so that. I see menu, I'm hungry, I see and smell good food, I panic and order something I shouldn't.
