McDonald's and pink slime?

Wednesday, February 01, 2012

I saw this article on yahoo, and it made me sick, sad, and angry.

And we wonder why we struggle to lose weight or why we have health issues. I'm sure they aren't the only chains putting who knows what in the food. My brother and I grew up on McDonald's, he's dead of a massive heart attack and I have heart issues as well as other issues. Nobody forced us to eat the junk, but we did. So we suffer the consequences.

On the other hand companies should be more responsible with the ingredients they use. My son always makes this statement: McDonald's, 100 billion served... 100 billion killed. He will not eat there and when he did he always complained about it.

Yeah, I read that article too. As kids, we rarely got McDonalds, but begged for it always.

The best advice I've heard about weight loss and food plans is so simple, it's pathetic that I/we didn't think of it years ago. I got this advice from an unlikely source who is a popular man who was asked by an interviewer how he lost all of his weight (110 pounds), and this was his answer:

"If it wasn't food 100 years ago, it still isn't, so don't eat it"

The man? Mike Huckabee

Disgusting. It is kinda weird though how those fastfood places, I noticed their food smells bad- like sweat or something. Gross!

This is truly disgusting. It just goes to show that companies will try to get away with anything if they can.

It looks like the Court of Public Opinion wins out--when the public catches on!

Thanks for this.

I am so glad your son doesn't like MacDonald's. I hate it. I tried to eat there once in my life (I was with colleagues) and just the smell of the oil that had been used many times made me sick. I guess, like for your son, when you are raised eating good, healthy food, you can't cope with fast food at all. It is disgusting.

Oh man! Isn't it sad that (myself included) people consider McD's a treat?! :/ It's like... poison.

oh, yuk. I'm glad I don't eat there.
That's worse than that MEAT GLUE.
I've stopped eating meat except when my son takes me to lunch.. then I eat fish.

I would never eat at Mc D's anyhow (there's just nothing there that tastes good to me), but I read somewhere about the same ingredient in lighter fluid being in their chicken nuggets... real eye opener!

If you read the book "The End of Overeating," the MD who wrote it shows how food is purposely engineered for addictive return to the chemicals that make it taste so good for humans.
