Looking for a new source of inspiration...

As my progress has slowed, and as I'm entering my busy season at work - I'm realizing that I'm going to have to find new and different ways to get motivated. I won't have as much time to spend on SparkPeople reading other peoples stories and motivating others. Sneaking in time to work out will also be difficult as work, sleep and stealing moments with my son will fill up most of my time. Today I'm going to take a bunch of fruit with me to work so I have healthy snacks at my desk to keep me fueled up without adding excess baggage. Anyone else with a super hectic schedule that has tips for me???

Good luck figuring out a schedule that will work for you and your family. Your son's young, but maybe you can incorporate him into your fitness. Spending time playing games with him, tag, Simon says, piggy back rides. sit-ups, squats push ups. Children learn what they live. I'm only an aunt, but whenever the nephews and nieces visit, I swear I'm more tired from chasing them and playing with then from doing a Jillian DVD.

Be sneaky. Any extra movement counts, so take the long way to the restroom at work, take a long way around every where you have to go, march in place or something while waiting for the copier or microwave. Do you have a pedometer? Set a goal for number of steps per day and get them any way you can think of.

This my busy season also and one of my best motivators is my son. I keep a picture of him on my desk that reminds me that I want to be healthy to be there for him. Also I have a picture of me at 120 lbs that is taped on my mirror. It reminds me I want to be that girl with the waist again! Good Luck!!

It sounds silly, but I have a board on Pinterest that I keep as motivation. Some are pictures of people who are obviously dedicated to their health and some are quotes to keep me going. It helps keep me in the right mind. I also have a picture printed out that says, "Yesterday you said tomorrow." When I read that, it reminds me that I've put it off too many times. I don't want to look back 6 months from now and be mad at myself for not sticking to it.
