Madness? THIS IS SPARTA!

Just a quick blog. Im sleeeeepy. Didn't get too much sleep last night, had a long day at work (the girl I usually work with is on vacation until next week), and went to yoga tonight!

Feeling a little sore after the shred yesterday but yoga was great tonight. Used my new mat! I think I need to wash it though, it was actually a bit slippery. I think that was due to my excessive sweating and the newness though. A lot of reviews said the same thing.

I took some "before" pics today... since it's the end of January Im going to use them to compare on March 1st.

I started to look into the Warrior Dash or Spartan Race to decide which race Dan and I will do to prep for the Tough Mudder. Looking at the tough mudder site today I saw that they're having a mudder relatively close to us in 2013. So we said maybe we'll prep for that one with a spartan or warrior this year...

Spartan is booked on Saturdays race but when I showed Dan the footage of the Warrior Dash he wasn't too impressed. He wants something that will be incredibly demanding on him, possibly putting him outta commission the next day lol
So... we're going to go to the sunday one! And my best friend is coming with us! Im so excited.
I think Im going to register us tomorrow! Then there is no backing out and we have to do it. Im stoked!

Tomorrow I have yoga in the morning, work, grocery shopping, then home to do the shred with Dan!

I posted in the 20 somethings with 10-24lbs to lose group with my goals for the month and I want to post them here too!

"I won't know my starting weight until Feb. 7th when I have a doctors appointment. Wish me luck, I haven't weighed in since before Christmas!

My goals for the month:
1. Attend at least 16 yoga classes throughout the month (4 a week +)
2. Strength train 2x a week (30 day shred) and any sort of running... must get ready for Spartan Race!
3. Limit take out/delivery/fast food."

I'd like to do the shred 3x a week, but it may take a little convincing for Dan.
We're hoping the weather is nice this weekend so we can go jog the track. It looks like it'll be kinda sunny in the mid 30's! I'll take it! Im just thinking we'll start with a mile and tack some on. Praying it's like riding a bike, but i have a feeling this is going to hurt!

Oh! I need to sign me and Dan up for couples yoga on the 11th!

I also got some sad news today...
my Sunday yoga teacher Sophie will no longer be teaching at my studio! /cry!!!!
Kim told me that she's really busy and can't keep the class =-( Im gonna miss her!

So in review:
Spartan Sprint June 3rd! must get butt in gear!
Nervous about weighing in on the 7th!
Excited to get serious about training and hope to see results in a month!

    Now I need to read up more on Spartan Sprint. Sounds like a lot of fun regardless! So glad you're signing up!!

    Trying to take advantage of young energy while I still can! =-P I watched most of my family give up and end up obese and unhealthy. Going to try to nip that in the butt ;-)
