Today my daughter asked me if I was on a diet, and I explained to her that I am no longer going on diets, that I want to live to see 100 and in order to do that I need to live a healthier lifestyle. I always figured I could go on a diet for a few months and lose a little weight just so I could go back to eating the same way I did before the diet and gain all that weight plus some back again. I am sick and tired of the up and down numbers. I want to be able to go in my closet and pick out anything I want to wear that day, instead of saying oh no I can't wear that because I stopped dieting so them jeans don't fit me anymore, so I guess I have to go another diet.
I will NEVER again go on another diet!!! I want to be able to get down to 160 pounds and maintain that weight for the rest of my life, unless I see fit to lose a little more. I want to have fruits, vegetables, lean meats and lots of water be part of my daily eating plan. I am not looking for perfection, but most definitely progress and I am definitely on my way.
