I've always struggled with doing exercise consistently. It is especially hard for
me to stay on track in the winter months. I usually like to go hiking or walking
outside. In the past I have tried a few DVD workouts with my wife, but I always
found them to be very difficult to follow because I am not the most coordinated
person. I recently received Coach Nicole's 28-Day Boot Camp DVD and my wife and I decided to give it a try together. I have found the workouts to be something that even I can do without much trouble. Each exercise has a modification to make it easier or harder. Coach Nicole shows the basic move then Jewel does an easier version and Lindsey does the advanced version. I have not worked up to the advanced steps yet but I've found that I can do the basic version most of the time. The DVD fits in well with the SparkPeople method of adding a little at a time and building from there to bigger things. I especially like the fact that a timer counts down while you exercise because that helps me focus and push through to the end. I'm only 15 days through the 28 day workout plan but I am starting to want to do the exercises. On the rest days I feel my muscles starting to get tight again and I know that when I exercise the next day I will feel better. Also, I had plateaued with my weight loss and since I started using the DVD I have lost another pound. Most days the warm up, exercise, and cool down total just 22 minutes. I think the DVD is very good and anyone can use it to start an exercise routine. You can just start slow and do the easier modifications until you get used to it and eventually move up to the advanced moves.
I received this DVD for free from SparkPeople and did not receive any form of payment for my review
