Week #1: Get ready to be eliminated

Last night I packed up enough food for breakfast and lunch (and snacks) all week, if needed. I have decided that I am cutting out gluten, dairy, yeast, and sugar. I am not giving up coffee and I will be eating goat cheese and yogurt.

Yesterday the hubby and I went shopping for some diet-friendly dinner foods. He is being very supportive.

I mainly hope this will make a difference in how I feel and my psoriasis, but i also do better calorie-wise when I am watching what exactly I eat, so I'm expecting weight loss as well.

Scheduled to exercise Tues and Thurs this week.

Ready, set, go!

EDIT: Apparently I am not cutting out yeast, because I am not cutting out fruit or coffee. Oh well!

    Let me know how it goes for you. Sometimes eliminating something can help you realize any food sensitivities.

    You have to be sensible with your choices and not deprive yourself too badly..which you are doing a GREAT job of by allowing yourself fruit and coffee!! emoticon emoticon

    You may not be cutting out yeast, but you are drastically reducing your intake.

I hope you take the time to really journal this elimination diet-- I've done something similar (cut out a ton of foods but then reintroduce them slowly) and I learned a ton about how I process foods, and which foods cause my face to redden or break out or anything-- but I wouldn't have learned specifically what does it without taking the time to journal out everything....
