Positive changes are sooo exciting!
Although I've been in Maintenance for quite awhile, my body is still changing.
I've gone down another bra size and cup size. Love it! love it!!
My clothes are fitting looser again. YAY! I'm getting soo close to another size downward.
I finally rode my bike this weekend! It's been a few years (and 52 lbs ago) since we bought bikes hoping to get some exercise, but quickly discovered we were too out of shape, and our terrain was too rough to ride on, with it being rut roads with many roots, sand, inclines, etc. One trip around the pond is about 1/3 mi, with inclines, most of which I walked with the bike. I thought it would kill me for sure. They've been hanging in the shed ever since.
Friday night hubby had our bikes pumped up and ready to try, in preparation for our Fall trip. He even sprung for a bike mount, had it all hooked up and ready, in order to make this a real goal for us both. So we took them for a spin quick-like since it was pretty dark, and we needed to see if they still worked ok. I had no trouble getting through the sand, ruts, over the roots, or going up most of the incline. But the last part of the steeper incline did get me. I only walked it a little ways, and got back on. I was panting pretty hard, and I'm pretty sore, but it was very encouraging and I’m sure I'll be able to conquer this and move on to the next level. Then maybe we’ll take them out in public on a trail when we build endurance. The goal here is to be able to travel and sight-see around Seabrook Island in October. There are nature trails all over, and this time we plan on seeing the Islands’ wildlife, beaches and marshlands by bicycle. Then, maybe we’ll move on to mountain trails!!
Awesome and exciting!!
