I took some pics, so I figured it would be best to just blog it out here. Plus I haven't blogged in 2 weeks, so I am due for one!
I really loved this idea - everyone running their own race in their own city, and donating money to a charity of their choice. We didn't make Tshirts for this one, but I'm sure we'll get around to that on our next AB race!
I was very sore when I started, I was out dancing last night from 11 p.m. - 3 a.m. Then we walked around the Georgia Tech campus today while we watched a LEGO robotics competition. So my feet and knees weren't feeling very fresh when I began! But the weather is gorgeous today, so the thought of running in short sleeves got me out the door!
My 3.1 miles is my neighborhood route and very hilly. It is my regular route 2 runs/week, so I'm used to it! This was the start & finish line, the bottom of my driveway...
I started my phone's GPS running app and my stopwatch just in case. I snapped some pics on my phone of the hills in my neighborhood.

So despite feeling like I was dragging, I ended up staying really close to my normal pace. This is the last hill of my run, loooong and gradual...
And I finished my pretty, sunshiney, last Saturday in January run in just over 30 minutes.
Look! I'm sweaty, pink, and in short sleeves in Atlanta in January!!
And since I didn't have a tshirt, I decided to create a makeshift finisher's medal!
