It is Friday, I love Fridays. The day has always been special to me, a mini celebration after a demanding work week. One thing I do every Friday night is enjoy a pizza dinner. Most of the times I make the pizza myself with lots of yummy veggies and a nutty whole wheat crust. I use light cheese since it is easier for me to digest, and mix up the type of sauce I use.
It was about three years ago that I decided to make Friday night pizza night. See, I had read an article which stated that we in the western world mix our diet up too much and that is why we over eat. The article maintained that if we ate familiar foods over and over again (like many countries do) than we would actually be better able to manage our intake. This idea rang true for me, and so was the birth of pizza Friday. For me it works, pizza night is no longer binge night. Two pieces, and I am done for the night.
So what are your thoughts?? Does it make sense to you as well, or is it a YAWN?
