Day 4

Friday, January 27, 2012

Today had been a hard day on the diet. On the way to work I started craving a bagel with cream cheese. That is not even remotely on my eating plan for now. Last night I did feel very full and satisfied. My blood sugars are normal without taking any medication. That is one of my goals to get off my diabetic medications and control it through diet and exercise. Ok now that i've had lunch and exercised I don't feel the cravings. Keep strong and remember we are in control of out food intake. I try to give things over to The Lord but, it seems like I end up taking it back from him. Thanks for listening emoticon

Ellen, It's going ok. I've made a few mistakes which has hindered the weight loss.Live and learn. I've lost more inches than anything. Good luck. After the first week it gets easier.

    Hi
I have also started with this diet today! I did it before and whilst I didn't stick it out for 8 weeks, I did lose weight. I went back on carb binges which aren't good for me! I know it's tough but I do feel it is worth it. I guess it's about remembering "this too shall pass". It's not that I can't have carbs ever again, it's just getting through 8 weeks and then I can increase carb intake slightly and then some more after ideal weight is reached. Sometimes I tend to go extreme and then fall off, I think I need to allow myself that 5g of carbs at meal times. There are some low carb breads etc and this helps cause then I don't feel as deprived. I also got shakes and things the last time I did this and it can literally be a simple thing like adding more water that helps you feel a whole lot better. I also found after day three I felt great! A lot more energy and less brain fog. Also if exercising there is a note in the book where she says for each 1/2 hour you can have 15g of carbs (1/2 banana)to prevent energy drain. Anyway good luck! One day closer to the 8 week cycle for me :-)
