I have decided to weigh my self every 2 weeks...and I decided I don't need to freak out about it. haha, I am weighing everyday and I think it would be better every 2 weeks. Whacha think?
It takes tweaking to get the formula just right. Try the two week weigh-ins, and if it's not working for you, change it up until you find what does work.
I used to weigh in every morning at the same time. I found that it kept me accountable. Lately, I've been weighing in only every third day. It's what's working for me right now.
Yes, those daily weighings can be a drag. Much better to do it further apart so you can see a general trend, rather than just too much salt one day and worrying that we overate or didn't exercise enough.
Yes, definitely a better idea. Our weight changes daily (even hourly) depending on the amount of water we retain and so many other aspects as well. (I personally judge my success based on my clothes sizes and how I feel because muscle weighs more than fat and the scale just upsets me.)
experiment I am better when i weigh every morning...but i don't obsess with a 2 pound fluctuation...i consider what I ate the day before and if I've had a BM. For me daily weigh-ins keep me more in tune with how I'm doing (or overdoing it)
I think we all have to find the frequency that works best for us. Every 2 weeks would be a good way to really see the adjustment, but for some people could lead to slacking the first week and then trying to make up for it the last few days. Other people go on wild roller-coasters emotionally if they weigh daily, and are consistent enough with their food and fitness that weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly work fine.
Main thing if you swap is to make sure you have precautions in place to keep you on track throughout the two week period, as you won't know if adjustments are needed until the next time you weigh in.
