#29 - Day Two - Wednesday.

Here's how Day Two (1/25/12) went:

Food: Despite missing an ingredient for my lunch-time pizza, I still ate well. Something in the back of my mind told me "Hey, you forgot the cottage cheese for the pizza. Let's just go get some fast food and start over tomorrow." However, I didn't do that. I ate my pizza (minus the cottage cheese), and I ate healthy the remainder of the day. I felt really good about this decision! emoticon

Water: I was slacking a little in the water department. I don't usually drink a lot (of anything), so I strive to at least drink four cups a day. However, yesterday, I didn't start drinking my water until about 30 minutes before lunch. emoticon I ended up only consuming four cups of water the entire day (plus two cups of green tea). I need to do better. This might have to be one of my daily goals for Friday.

Exercise: All of yesterday, I sat at my computer thinking about how great it would be to go on my walk this afternoon. When I got home, I laced up my shoes, got dressed, and grabbed my iPod. However, about ten minutes into it, I was already feeling exhausted. I was thinking about quitting. I was thinking about not doing the entire 4.08 miles. Even though my body was tired, I didn't stop. I kept my quick pace. I told myself "Come on, girl. You can do it. Think about how healthy you are going to be. Think about how badly you want it. Remember your Spark Friends are out exercising, and they want you out there too!" I made it! I did the entire walk, and I even beat my time from yesterday! So, thanks Spark Friends for your encouragement every day! emoticon

Day Two Goals:

1. Get eight hours of sleep. --> Unfortunately, I didn't achieve this goal. I think I got 7.5 hours. I am having a rough time falling asleep. I will go to bed earlier, and I will eventually get achieve this!
2. 30 minutes of exercise. emoticon
3. Go to bed at 10:30 pm. emoticon

- Chicken pizza (1.8 servings) at 7:30pm.

- Walked 4.08 miles for 59 minutes at 5pm.

- No.

7. Did you consume any caffeinated drinks or food today?
- Green tea at 12:30pm and 2:30pm.

8. Did you take any medications?
- Birth control (1) and sleep tablets (2) at 10pm.

9. Did you take any naps today?
- No.

10. What types of stressors did you encounter today?
- Work & relationship stress.

11. How hungry did you feel today?
- 2 (Normal Hunger).

12. How awake did you feel today?
- 1 (Exhausted).

13. How irritable did you feel today?
- 3 (Moderately Irritable).

Reflection: Day Two went pretty well. I made some big accomplishments! I am excited for Day Three! emoticon

    GOOD FOR YOU! Think of how awesome it will be once these changes are permanent! You'll lose weight, feel better, and have tons of energy. I'm proud of you! Keep up the great work.

    Awesome job on pushing through the exercise even though you didn't want to!! Plenty times I'd find myself wanting to quit after a few minutes, but didn't allow myself and found that I was glad. We will never regret exercise we did do, only that which we didn't do !! As for the water thing, maybe telling yourself to drink 1 glass every hou, or even 1/2 glass every hour, and that way you can get it in over the course of the whole day instead of having to chug it down and force it. emoticon

    I've never heard of putting cottage cheese on pizza before... what else do you put on it? Good luck getting in your water... some days that's a struggle for me too.

  Your pizza sounds great, what else is on it? I have never heard of putting cottage cheese on it. I really struggle to get my water in too, but keep trying!
You pushed yourself to exercise and go the miles, way to go! Be proud! It is hard to do when your body is tired.
Sounds like you are doing really well.

    Nice. Stay the course, and I promise you that you will feel your energy level soar. Mine is through the roof, and I actually started to notice it after the first five pounds were gone.
