Exercising most mornings, got the wii out and starting to use that a little bit at night.
Decided i would avoid alcohol until my birthday, 3/25/12, and hope to have it only as an occassional choice as it was a daily habit until recently. { i would usually only have one lite beer in the evening but then i'd want coffee, then i'd want a cold beer again, or i'd want chips or crackers or something w/the beer, etc} I bought a blender and started making a glass of fresh juice each night--delish!! I almost didn't do it last night because of the mess {peeling an orange, apple, cutting out bad spots, etc} but it was still quick & easy and i was so glad i did. Its kind of thick. I like using my juicer for the harder fruits {apples, carrots, etc} but it can't do greens or 'thicker' stuff like bananas or avacados. I also like having more of the pulp from oranges, etc. I think i will use both appliances for a couple of weeks while i'm building this new habit/quick start.
I also changed the meal settings on here. I didn't realize it was set for vegetarian.
No big weightloss yet or great muscle/stamina improvements but i do have more energy and feel good about taking care of myself.

    Thanks for the comment Outdoor Girl! I still like my juicer and will use the two of them for a little while. I also like putting fruit and vegis together.
I really like how alert i am feeling in the evenings now and i seem to be sleeping more soundly as well.
How long have u been making your own juices? What benefits are u getting from it?

    I use to have a juicer and got rid of it. It was not giving me enough of the pulp which is very important.I was throwing that away.

I have been making veggie juice with my blender. It is so easy.
I use

6oz baby carrot's
2 stocks of celery cut into small pieces
3 tablespoons of med salsa
1 16.9 oz battle of water.

I put 1.5 cups of water in blender
then start adding carrot till they are blended
then I add the celery
and blend some more adding more water as I go
Then add the salsa and blend more and add the remanding water.

You can add more veggies of your choice also. There are times that I add different peppers if I have then and broccoli also.

If it is too thick as you are blending just add some more water to it.
