Exercising when you are sick

Wednesday, January 25, 2012

I woke up with a cold this morning, and although, Im not really sick, I have absolutely no energy. I tried to do my workout today, but only got about half way through when I felt like I was going to pass out, so i stopped my workout early. I dont want to stop exercising until Im better....usually when i get a cold, I have it for atleast a couple weeks, if not longer. So What are some good exercises that everyone does when they have a cold?

The last thing you should be doing is beating yourself up girl. Being sick is hard enough. You don't need to put feeling guilty on top of that. If you can't, you can't. You will get back on track when your body is ready to allow you to. Your body will rebel if you try to push and your body isn't ready to obey. Take care of yourself and know you are truly cared about by your Spark friends.

I have been sick with a lower intestinal infection, I have kept my exercise up doing it in little segments and modifying it as need be. Hope this helps.

I suggest just doing what you can. The reason is maintaining the habit of exercising and keeping that guilt you feel for not working out from stressing you out. If you can't do your whole workout, it's ok. You're sick. You will get right back on track when you feel better. Let you body heal and feel better soon.

I have been down and out with a cold since last week. I my plan is to start walking again every night to build myself back into a routine and so I dont over exert myself and stay sick.
