Let Me Eat Cake

Today is my husbands birthday!

This is the beginning of what we call "cake-fest." My father-in-law follows on the 29th, my mother-in-law Feb 12th and finally my daughter, the 15th (and forget Valentine's). My family on my husbands side are all Aquarius'. Needless to say, this is a difficult time diet-wise. I'm not a huge fan of cake itself, but the party food and special occasion dinners are going to be super tough to get through this year.

Even if I simply maintain my weight over the course of the next couple of weeks, I will be happy! I plan to drink a lot of water in order to feel full and curb any desire for anything in the dessert dept!

    TRY TRY TRY...to choose the healthiest option, or watch your portion sizes. You should still be able to indulge here and there without seeing drastic swings in the scale. We all have to allow ourselves a bit of leeway from time to time, or we will go nuts! It is hard at times how we all celebrate special occasions with FOOD! But just keep your bearings, have a slice of cake, and enjoy!

    Man....that can be super hard to avoid but you can do it! Just keep telling yourself that every spoonful of cake is an hour in the gym...and who really wants to do that! lol Its technically only 4 days....so don't let those 4 days ruin and entire month of hard work. We know you can do it!!
