It's all about portion control. You don't have to think; you just grab a frozen dinner and nuke it in the microwave. Success - it's dinner!
I used to always wonder if you couldn't go on a tv dinner diet. I figured if I ate nothing but frozen dinners, I'd have to lose weight. I actually tried it one time, and it worked. I know nutritionists would "have a cow" at this suggestion, but I felt good on it and got lots of variety, so I was contented as long as I was alone. The problem was that I got distracted by all the stuff everybody else was eating, junk food in the vending machines at work, and losing it when I went to favorite restaurants.
I'm a firm believer that you can eat anything you want, just some things not very often and in small amounts. By allowing everything into your diet, you avoid suffering through that deprived feeling.
I know - I've got it bad, but I'm working on me.
