Having Other Goals, ..not just the Scale!

Tuesday, January 24, 2012

I don't think I will ever get use to seeing my weight be up when I know I've been doing program! The scale is not always your friend! I guess the key is finding other non-scale goals! My personal favorite is the desire to please God with temperance / my daily self control. emoticon ...and Rather it's I feel better in my body or my clothes start fitting again, I need to focus on the real reasons I'm doing this and it's not for a number on the scale. I want to live a better quality life and then I hear of so many sicknesses and medical needs out of the elderly, I want to work on that.. before I reach an age where I won't be able to.. or at least not as easy as I can do it now.

Lynn I believe we both can reach our goals in 2013. I for one do not have the strength to lose my remaining weight. But the good news is when I am weak, HE is strong. I have to work the program no matter how I feel.

And I believe you are stronger than you think you are. Christ in you the hope of glory.

    You can do this!

That is a great outlook. I too sometimes get mad at myself when i retain water during Aunt Flow. Knowing that its only water i still dont like how the scale shows a gain of 4-8lbs. My clothes fit very well and I am felling more energetic. God is very good and we should eat how he wanted us to and not cave in to the commercials or conveniences.

I think it is important not to only rely on the scale! Having other goals helps people in so many areas of their life too!
