I can see the finish line

Monday, January 23, 2012

Okay... from here on out it's nothing but milestones for me. After losing 168 and then relosing about 40 pounds.... I can finally see the finish line. The distance from where I am now to where I want to be is full of milestones. Right now, I am sprinting towards that finish line.

I lose 2 more pounds and I am back at the lowest that I got down to when I was losing two years ago (before my husband's layoff, before working two jobs, before relationship turmoil,...). Three pounds below that and I will be 170 and I will have lost 170. I will be half my old weight. Five pounds below that is the lowest I ever remember weighing in jr. high and high school. Anything under 165 puts me at pre-fifth grade weight, and I can't wait to get there and see what that size feels like. 10 pounds below that I am finally in the healthy BMI range. A mere 5 pounds below that and I am at my goal.... it will have only taken about 4 years to get there... but it will feel so good. I am going to get there a milestone at a time, but that finish line is right there only 25 pounds away... at my highest it was 190 away... a mere 25 is so doable.

Here is another milestone... this past weekend I got into single digit pants for the first time... from a 28 to an 8! You're going down saddle bags... you're going down!
