I am making a few changes to my life not because I want but because I have to. I stopped using eyes make-up about two months and I am trying to cover my gray roots with henna. About two years ago, I found out that I suffer from Excema and that the chemicals on hair products and make-up are some of the triggers. I spent about two months with my eyelids swollen and red. My eyes got so sensitive that even washing them to try to get the water-proof mascara made them red and swollen. I like to wear mascara and eyeliner so this is a big adjustment for me. I am not ready to show my gray roots on my hair either so I am trying henna to cover them. My first experiment with Henna was long, messy and did not give me the results I wanted. My hair looks healthy and natural but the gray hair only got a yellow tint. I know dying with henna takes time to see what works with each person so I will give it another try. I will keep you posted. In term of make-up. I will some natural products but in the meantime I want to give a rest to my eyelids and go natural.

I totally understand...I don't have eczema but the products I was using caused my hormones to go haywire. Not too sure about the henna, but if you're looking for great products try Bubble & Bee for shampoo, soap, moisturizers and Coastal Classic Creations for makeup...it can be a bit expensive but it actually lasts longer than the typical brands out there. Plus, you can get samples to try first. Hope it helps and best of luck....gray or not, you are who you are which is beautiful! :)

It must be hard to get used to your new changes. Eventually you'll get use to it. I have been wearing my hair gray for about 10 yrs now. It was so much trouble dying my hair every 3 weeks. Don't misss all that mess.

Learn to love your natural beauty...for that you are.

I feel for you. I wear make up everyday and have forever. It would be hard to give that up plus my haircolor! I hope you can find some products that work for you.
