A Bonafide Homebody....

Sunday, January 22, 2012

Good Sunday Sparkfam! It has been one this past week! I tell, if I were an alcoholic I would be drunk somewhere. lol Thank God I'm not & I made it through this week without incidence. It was cold earlier in the week but then it snowed 6inches. Well, first of all, I went out on Thursday & I had a cheese stick, a hot wing, chips & salsa....until there was a hair in the salsa. I couldn't eat the tacos I order so I ate the fries. I was sick to my stomach the rest of the evening. But it was a good time had by all & I would never go there again except for the chips.

Friday, I got to work almost on time & everyone came in. No one called off or anything. Then we all were released 1pm in anticipation of the snow. It wasn't bad while driving on the way home but after 20mins it was a mess! Then I had to stop to get gas which I should've done the night before but it was 14degrees. All I wanted to do was to get home. So a ride from the gas station to my house took me 30mins! A normal ride is 5minutes, so you can get a visual on my pain. Then my hubby "hurt" his arm so he is on disability & can you guess whose back is hurting today? Yeap, mine.

Saturday, I shoveled more snow this time in a fur coat. lol I am a queen so therefore I shoveled snow like one. Then I made my son unplug from the Xbox & go get a new shovel & some salt. He & I are always at odds with one another. A trip to the store together is just what we need to be us somewhat back on track. The trip start out rocky but by the end, he was helping mom & very grateful for going. Then hubby got a flat tire, so "super mom/wife" to the rescue! I stopped by the store & got a small jack & then flew off to rescue him & his male companion. lol After I rode home I started missing my grandson & daughter so I called to see what they were up to & went to visit them. I am a BONAFIDE homebody I LOVE staying in wrapped up in blankets with a good movie or a several episodes in a row. So going out to see my daughter who lives 40mins (I made it 30mins) was a chore. I was glad I went & it started to get late & time to go & he was so sad. I will have to make an effort to go by there once a month. Hey they're younger & they have fuel efficient cars too. Mine gas guzzler is not a fancy smancy as theirs. lol

Had a wonderful time a church as we are nearing the end of our 21day fast. The sermon was on first fruits giving & what God declares as a gift from the heart. It was wonderful as I am praying on what gift I can give from my heart & be a blessing. I know that what I desire to give others is not the same as I desire to give God. Hubby called its breakfast time at 2pm so pancakes scrambled eggs sausage bacon toast & grits. Now I am back to sparkin. Tonight's dinner will be chicken asiago, baked chicken thighs white rice chicken breast & steaks. This is my batch meal of the week so they can eat it however they want it. I actually want breakfast for dinner. That is my comfort foods brings great memories from my childhood.

God bless Sparkfam!

Just a homebody trying to reconnect with the outside world by visiting my loved ones. lol

Wow! That is why I live in Florida, it was 74 degrees here today with the sun shinning. I could never survive in your type of weather. Glad you were able to get home safe.
