Clawing it down here! Hang tight, kitties!

This is a cute little kitty picture but I really think we should have one of the kitty clinging to the branch with her claws...it would be SO SPARK!

That is how I feel today. Clawing down those last five pounds. 138.2, down 0.6 of a pound. Could be worse, meow!

I know I'd have done better if I had resisted the lure of several helpings of pudding last night plus 3 oz. of bourbon. BUT when you can't get to sleep due to pre-trip panic, and you stay up until 2:30 AM, all kinds of unpredictable things happen. IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE! emoticon

I wanted to get my blog in today - oh WAIT! It doesn't matter, the week's challenge is DONE! Oh well, I guess I have the habit, so here it is anyway. Very soon I will vanish from Spark for a week or so while traveling to Italy, so when I am not there, you will know I have gone. Does that make sense?

I will still be walking a LOT. I will probably also be eating a LOT. We will hope that it evens out. I've tried to do extra videos to make up for the days I will miss on the January Jumpstart challenge so I'm hoping I can still get my trophy. However, que sera, sera...it has been well worth it to do that challenge. Coach Nicole's videos are becoming an essential part of my life and even if my weight weren't down today, I can feel myself getting stronger. That's what it's all about!

to all my friends and fellow team members and especially to all of you who have commented on my blogs and feed - best of luck on the rest of January's challenges and may you accomplish your goals, stay in the game and keep plugging away with flair!

you'll walk it off in Italy ... and as Buteafull says, portions are smaller there. i think your hotel is not far from an excellent pizza by the gram place that's in that book, i think. great for lunch if you're around there for lunch.

make those bites count, eat things you won't have back home like their version of ice cream in pistachio yum to die for, and you can still watch portions, the europeans don't as large as we do

Sara, enjoy Italy. Thoroughly enjoy each bite there, and it will help you not to get TOO much, or you can also share, or bring some back to where you're staying I suppose, at times. :) Don't worry on it, it's one week away where you shouldn't be worrying about dieting. You just focus on a great time, and you'll come back with renewed ambition to begin again to get the last five pounds gone. Just wait and see. :)
