The feeders were empty this morning and, while I'm not fond of temps in the teens and would have liked it to warm up some before I went outside to fill the feeders, the birdies sat on my window panes outside and stared at me with their beady little eyes and I couldn't take it. I got out there in the freezing cold and it was as bad as I thought it would be. They were so hungry they tried to land on it while I was still trying to fill it. I had cardinals, chickadees, titmice, goldfinches, juncos, purple finches, and woodpeckers on the feeder immediately. At this rate the food won't last long. The feeder was full of birds all day.
I had to go back in and warm up before I could stand going out again. The crows were waiting for me when I went to their feeding spot. I call to them and they call back. I fed them and Baby and then went back inside to warm up again.
The next time I took out the compost and the birds were over there digging food out of the compost bin.
The last time I ventured outside I burned the trash and was glad to get back inside. Too cold.
I put up all the food from Sam's today, did my indoor chores, and started getting the laundry ready for tomorrow.
The phone has not rang for days and it's so nice.
I am so peeved at my computer I could scream. I was trying to shut off a window that was constantly freezing up and it wouldn't let me and I ended up losing some important info. Grrrrrrrrrrr!!
Since the other soap is gone now I've been searching for something to watch on TV without much success. I don't actually watch it but it is on for the noise. In the country it's really quiet and if there is any noise outside it kind of drives me batty. So I ended up watching some real life court TV and it sucked and was so boring I turned it off. I don't know how people can be jurors and stay awake. I found a show about biscuits and ham. Just what I needed. Did I ever mention that biscuits are one of my favorite things? LOL.
At almost the time when my son and hubby got off work the freezing rain arrived. They barely made it home in time. It is icing up and tomorrow I have to do laundry in the pole barn. Ugh!!
