Here's to your health!

Friday, January 20, 2012

I usually fall victim to several sicknesses a year and I was never really surprised at that fact emoticon . I have three children in school, I attend a community college and all the various public place you go running daily errands. That's a lot of places to pick up germs and get sick!

Or so I thought until I started working out and eating healthy emoticon ! Yes, that light bulb went off in my head about two weeks ago when I had fallen prey to the second round of bronchitis and a sinus infection! This was the first time in over six months that I had gotten sick and it was a duzzy that wouldn't go away!

What was the event that triggered the illness you might be asking me now emoticon Well, it was Christmas! Yep, I thought I would take a break the week before and during Christmas from working out and from eating anything nutritious.

I strongly believe that eating healthy and exercising has raised my immune system and when I failed myself by taking a break, I brought down my immune system. It took a month to get to where I could get over the bronchitis and even be able to exercise. emoticon

It's been about a week now of being back on track and I can tell how much more quickly my body is healing! Something no medicine did for me. I feel good and I won't be looking into taking a break anytime soon. So here's to your health and mine and keep up the hard work!
