Weekend Aspirations

Friday is here again. The weekend brings relaxation and fun, but also temptations not present during the structured workweek. So therefore with fortitude I am setting some goals just for the weekend to help me keep focused on the goal.

1. Workout today, Saturday, and Sunday
2. Attend Yoga class on Sunday
2. Drink 8 glasses of water each day
3. One glass of wine on Friday and Saturday and no more.
4. Make an entry in my gratitude journal each day
5. If eating out, make healthy choices
6. Stay positive and mindful each moment

One day at a time, consistency, and gratitude!!!

    Hi there Spark Sis~ Glad to see you are so committed and making great progress. W2G!! I on the other hand am just not feeling it :( I have a feeling after Friday's dr. appt. I will get a major reality check and hopefully it will 'Spark' in me a new start for the new year. I have not meant to ignore you...just haven't been on and consistent. Please be patient with me... I will come back in the near future.

    i HAVE A long weekend ahead---4 days---so watch what I eat, go for a walk with my Spark friend, get bills paid and ready to mail, catch up on laundry, drink plenty of fluids, watch Granddaughter on Monday, get my hair cut on Tuesday, water aerobics on Monday evening.

    My biggest complication this weekend is that I'm taking DDa to see West Side Story at 1pm on Sunday. We're meeting downtown to eat first. I'm not as concerned about the food from that as ... I'm not an early riser on the weekends generally. If I rush to meet her, we won't be out of the play until 3:30 - 4:00 pm probably. Who knows if we'll grab a snack after or walk and talk (sit and talk for my foot). Not really enough time to get home, change for a workout, and get back to the gym with enough time before they close.

So my number one aspiration this weekend is to be up early enough on Sunday to have my gym workout done before I have to meet her for lunch. They open at 8:00 am, so it IS doable.

    I hope to follow the suggestions that you have made for a healthy, happy weekend as my downfall is the weekend as well. Well done for setting out goals for yourself. emoticon
