Skipped two days of workouts this week. Well, not exactly...the first day I was helping my daughter with her heavy cleaning so I at least burned calories. But I didn't get my strength routine or usual cardio in like I have been for several weeks.
Surprise, surprise...those two days I had ZERO energy, felt lousy and somewhat depressed. I didn't realize how important exercise had become to me, not to mention how vital it was for my feeling healthy. Funny, before I got serious about losing weight, it was so hard to work up the energy to do it. Turns out the key to getting the energy is to workout! THEN the energy and motivation begin to follow. It's not easy, but it becomes so much easier and becomes a lifestyle.
After all, that's what a healthy "diet" program is supposed to be...a lifestyle change. We need to stop looking at this as a thing to do UNTIL...UNTIL I lose weight, UNTIL my cholesterol lowers, UNTIL I run that 5K. It is something we need to plan on doing forever! That's why small, sensible changes that we can maintain are so important.
So hello, workout video and Coach Nicole with my strength routine. Feel free to kick my butt, because I want to feel amazing and stay on the road to good health!
