sleep...

Thursday, January 19, 2012

I think I seriously need to consider taking something for it.

Lately I have felt super exhausted and class just started yesterday! I really need to get more sleep but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. When I get into bed I just toss and turn fooorrreever and look at the clock all night. By the time I know it, the darn alarm starts to ring and I have to get out of bed:-(.

I take melatonin a half hour before bed and it helps a lot. I've suffered with insomnia on and off over the years and melatonin is the only thing that has helped. The plus side is it doesn't leave you feeling groggy in the morning like sleeping pills can.

I wish I knew what to tell you. I suffer with the same problem. Good luck.

Just a suggestion, but track your sleep for a couple of weeks taking note of what you eat, when you eat, how much you eat, your sleep amounts, water intake and exercise. Note which nights you sleep better than others. Maybe you can pinpoint the problem before resulting to meds.
