My husband is getting on my nerves today...

Wednesday, January 18, 2012

My husband and I got into an argument last night over something ridiculous (super ridiculous)...we argued over who was going to let the dog out before we went to bed. Not a big deal in itself, but both of us have this super annoying trait of having the attitude that we are going to WIN every discussion. We each have to be right and not admit any fault, which results in a lot of stupid fights over dumb things. Then the fight gets worse because now we're fighting over who is yelling at who, who did what, etc. We both realize how dumb it is to argue about this stuff, yet neither one of us wants to cave, too much pride is at stake, and we have to WIN THAT ARGUMENT! In the end we usually just drop it and move on because we both realize we are at fault. Sooo...it's another one of those days....

On the plus side, I did the eliptical last night for 2 miles...yay me! Burned off some of that frustration!

If you can use that frustration to fuel your exercising, GOOD FOR YOU! I guess that means you won!! Have a great day and I hope you keep exercising when you make up!

I let the dog out...I caved!!! I couldn't let my poor dog hold it until the morning because we were both being stubborn! emoticon

Since you know the inevitable result of the shouting matches, wouldn't it be less stressful just to get there quicker? LET IT GO and MOVE ON!

I hate giving advice, but after 41 years of a pretty good marriage, I have learned to bite my tongue quite successfully.

Who DID let the dog out?

Working out hard when you are mad & making up afterward are the 2 best parts of fighting.

Curious, so who let the dog out?? LOL

I gave in last time, he did have to get up at 4 in the morning, and I was technically still reading in bed. HA HA
