Day 3 of this blogging thing, organization.
I am trying to start with my desk at work. I have piles, small ones, but piles. Some are piled by project, some are piled by need date and yet others are piled by "to do". Now, in order for this to work, I must make my piles consistent (first goal). I need to figure out which pile will be more important, which at this point, I am thinking it should be need date. From there they should be broken down by project, and the "to do" should be the last, or even in a pile by themselves, since they rarely have a particular project that they fit with.
Next, the piles need to be placed into files (wow change one little letter...). I have an empty hanging file drawer which will accommodate everything on my desk once I have them arranged in a consistent format.
Now to get it finished, along with my regular duties...
I need to carry this over to my home and that will be starting with my crafts. Most is arranged neatly, in my craft room, however, when I have a project out in the den with DH, I have a tendency to pile again. I need to move finished project supplies back to the craft room, find people to gift the finished projects and tag all of my yarn and thread stashes on the project website that I use. Ok, so this one will be more than a week... Now to keep from stressing over the fact that it isn't done yet.
