I admit it, I went AWOL from this blog on Friday.
I actually did well at the brunch, but I spent all weekend fighting exhaustion. I'm not talking about just plain old sleepiness...I'm talking about EXHAUSTION!
Anyway, I did log onto SP a bit and I did track my food, but I didn't work out at all.
And that's okay.
Last week, I was stressing because I was trying to find time to do the SP videos for the January Challenge. My husband pointed out to me that I was probably adding unneeded stress into my life on this. So, I'm no longer doing the January challenge. Instead, I'm going to figure out my own program and set a goal each week. I'm not going to do a 7 day thing--I NEED to have my rest days. But I need to have it challenging enough to keep my going.
So, my goal for this week is at least 4 days with cardio, at least 3 days with strength and at least 1 day of yoga (and yes, those can be on the same day). I'm aiming for 10 minutes of targeted strength training per session, although I do have a couple of DVD's with cardio and a total-body strength workout combined, that I would also consider.
I'm hoping to amp this up a bit in the coming weeks, but I need to look at my own schedule each week to see what is feasible for me to get done each week.
So, there is where I am with fitness. With food, I've started tracking more nutrients as I think some sort of imbalance in my diet might be contributing to my exhaustion. I also think that I've been consuming far more sodium than I think....but we shall see!
