First I'd like to say I hope everyone is having a good New Year. Unfortunately, mine has started out pretty bumpy already. Right after Thanksgiving. I got really busy and didn't really come on here much. I kept my eating in check, but pretty much stopped working out. :( Then some depressing things went on and my late night binging came back. Not horrible, but I did gain back since Thanksgiving about 8 pounds. Pretty big set back, but I'll drop that again. The worst part came right after New Years. I was goign to get right back into things full bore. I found out the first 5K I want to do is March 31st. So I had plenty of time to get ready. Well. The Monday after New Years I fell down the bottom on the steps and I messed my foot up pretty bad. In the same day found out my boss was completely changing my hours to night shift. This is going to be a major adjustment for this lifestyle change. Well, my foot was in severe pain. After X-Rays and emergency room visits I find out nothing is broken, but I have either gotten a really bad sprain in my toe or tore some ligaments. Great. 5K in 3 months and this. I get home from the hospital and let my dog out out. He ens up collapsing and dying in the back yard. I feel like there is a cruel joke and I'm the punchline lately. I had to go out there in extreme pain and bundle him up and get him to my wife's car so we could take him to the vet to have him taken care of. So all of those things have been the contributing factors to my 8 pound gain. Well, my foot is finally feeling much better and I am going to get a test walk in on the treadmill tonight. I do have my new shoes my mother in law gave me for Christmas so I'm excited for that. The late night binging is just going to have to stop like it did last time. I'm keeping my food journal again. So that will really help. I am going to get back on track with blogging again. I will get to my goal weight. I will survive the bad things pushed my way. And I will make this 5K. I hope everyone is doing well. Keep it up. We can do this.
