I've really been happy with the sp food tracker. I know for my dietary needs that I require more fat than some, and I also know that higher calories are more beneficial to me than the typical low cal diet for many reasons. That said, I have brought my weight down even more in only four days! I'm weighing in at 162.6. And that's with eating in the 2000 calorie and 90 gram of fat range. It's not a huge number, but it's a number in the right direction and I'm happy. I need to not get too caught up in the number on the scale, but at the same time, I want to evaluate what's going on so I can tweak if need be.
To all those dieters out there, don't believe the low fat myth! It won't work long term unless you're a carbo type. A lot of people really do need more fat than they allow themselves and wind up quitting their "diet" because their bodies just can't manage so low fat a diet. Traditional fats are the best. Trans fats are the worst. And contrary to popular opinion, saturated fat is good for you. Go coconut oil! Polyunsaturated fat, the supposedly good fat, makes for floppy cells. If you don't believe me, google Sally Fallon or Mary Enig. They have research and data.
