Lost 21 lbs Since November 18th

Sunday, January 15, 2012

Since November 18th I have been doing Medifast and have lost 21.5 lbs. The diet has been pretty easy for me so far. I did have a little fun on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, but other than that I have stuck to it 95%. I know when I stop I will have to watch what I eat to keep it off. I will slowly stop once I meet my goal and add only healthy foods back into my diet. I think it won't be so hard as my taste buds have changed. I love the taste of veggies, which I did not so much before.

I start back school on Tuesday night. I will be taking General Chemistry 2 for Science Majors. I have chose to only take 1 class this semester since my mother is battling Small Cell Lung Cancer which is very aggressive. I am also looking for another job. I have applied to 9 different positions this week.

Hope everyone is doing well!

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. I know you must feel you are on a roller coaster ride ride now. And to add a job search to the mix...you have your hands full! Congrats on the weigh loss. I hope you keep that momentum going!

Hang in there!

Ummmm....well I don't really know or understand how I am handling it. A bit numb at times, crushed at other times. Lots of praying. I went through cancer with my boyfriends mother and got a close view at the situation. My sisters seem to be handling it worse than me, but neither have dealt with cancer close to their family. It is weird when people tell you "what does not kill you makes you stronger" I believe that is true. I just keep telling myself that when she passes, she will be with God, Jesus, and all of her family she has lost here on Earth and I will see her again when my time comes.
