Another terrible night's sleep.

I went to bed at 930pm and woke up at 1:15am. I got up and did my usual morning things until I took a nap around 10am. After sleeping a bit, I woke up again and feel horrible. I dont want to do anything. Its so annoying. I had problems sleeping at night since I was in 3rd grade. I take something to help me sleep at night, but its not working anymore. My OBGNY wants me to quit taking it in case I get pregnant, but I have enough trouble sleeping with it. I have been taking it for a year now, and I would have hoped that my body would have learned how to sleep regularly by now. If I stop taking the sleeping pill, I probably be in for days at a time again. The first time in my life I remember sleeping 8 hours was in 2005. I had a new doctor who gave me something really strong to knock me out. It was like a miracle. I wouldn't mind one for tonight.

    Are you on any other things that may be making you stay awake? Once I was taking something for my stomach and I was to take it beofre bed - well about 4 hours later I was up and couldn't sleep anymore. It took me about 6 months to figure out it was the meds because I usually have issues sleeping too (I wake up so easy and I get hot).

I hope you get some rest tonight and can figure out something with your doctor to help! You need your rest!

    Ugh! That sucks! Does it help to exercise early in the day? Really wear yourself out so that you are exhausted? Or do you feel anxiety or worry? Maybe some nighttime meditation will help?

I feel so bad for you! Lack of sleep affects us in so many ways. :(

I hope you find something that works for you soon.

    You definitely have my sympathy. :o/ Have you tried a tryptophan supplement? My mom used to use them, and she suggested them to me earlier this week when my insomnia came back in force last Sunday night. Hang in there!

    Does it help to have a warm bath before bed?

I am used to bad sleep, but I do know how it drives people crazy when they can't just nod off:) I hope you figure out why this is happening:)
