I have had a very good few days. I've been doing a lot of walking outside with my dog, which I really do enjoy. I've managed to meet and/or exceed all of my goals, including exercising every day so far this year. The January Jump Start Challenge is really helping me. At church this morning I had some compliments on how good I am looking even, which makes me so very happy!
This week I plan to continue with what I am doing. I feel like I am shrinking and getting stronger. I have reached a new low on the scale, 226.0 even =) I spent an hour today sitting in a lounge chair in my back yard. I haven't used it since I started working on getting in shape and I was so thrilled with how much more comfortable it is now and how easy it was for me to get in and out of it without an extra 29 lbs. getting in my way! It's the little things like that which I find to be so encouraging.
Tonight I am going to be eating dinner at my mom's house. I know most of the menu already and I should be able to stick to my calorie range. I just have to try and avoid any snacks she has, because she always has snacks! It's going to be interesting to see how well I pull it off =)
Blogging every day doesn't seem to suit me too well, so I'll just keep doing status updates on a daily basis and then maybe a weekly blog to just kind of give myself something to look back on at all of the milestones along this journey.
