Day Two of Agony

Sunday, January 15, 2012

yes. I did Day Two of Boot Camp.

In fact, I did TWO bootcamps, not counting the warm up.

Er, at least I ATTEMPTED to do the two bootcamps. Let's just say "I did it MY way" and leave it at that.

When Nicole (otherwise known as The Beast) begins all that jumping jacks and whirling in circles and hopping all over the place, she loses me. I jog in place rather than jumping jacks and hopping.

I tried the circle thing and ran in to the wall, face first. NOT fun!

Then she does these impossible moves with weights. I really give those a try, because my arm flaps need trimming.

I actually manage to pretty much stay up with her on the weight thing, although sometimes I switch to my own way. But I do weights as well as I can.

while she is doing some inane moves, I do modified push ups. I also do modified bridges.

But I keep moving, and am glistening right along.

I work out for 90 minutes, some with her, some with just me, Winnie and YeowLing.

Then I remember that Sunday is supposedly my DAY OFF!

Not that I regret the workout, in fact, I must admit it feels rather good underneath all the pain and agony.

My favorite? The stretches afterward!!!

I'm still new to this video, so can't really critique it yet. But so far?

I also received my new dance video workouts, but haven't gotten in to them yet. I wonder: If I do DANCE in place of Boot Camp, does that count????

I love your descriptions of the workouts, my friend! You are one awesome woman for doing them--they are NOT easy, but they do get us to move and burn some calories. Way to go; I'd say dancing counts, anything that involves moving and glistening!

LOVED your blog! Made me laugh! Nicole is the best trainer I LOVE to HATE! She recently won the best trainer award; maybe we should nominate her for the "trainer who makes me sweat and I HATE to sweat" award!

Oh, my...I KNEW there was a reason why I didn't sign up for a Boot Camp!!! Maybe a soft shoe camp or slipper camp for me?? Good luck and be sure to let us know how it goes from here! Hugs, Jeannie

Thanks for the laugh and visions of you doing these workouts! You sound just like me! I really wouldn't want to see me on video trying to do some of those moves! Keep on trying and you will get better.

I needed those laughs as I imagined you doing the workout. It also sounds like me too so I can really "feel" your pain. I am doing the workouts when time allows and hopefully after tomorrow I will have a little more time. (((HUGS)))

I loved the blog, especially about running into the wall. How true!! When I do the January Jumpstart, I have to use my computer which is in the computer room. Now, even though I've cleaned it out some, it can still use major work. So running into things is what I do. Don't get so sore that you can't work out tomorrow. Slow and easy wins.

I say "Yes, doing DANCE in place of BootCamp counts". In the end it's all about moving. Dancing is moving, skating is moving, hiking is moving, BootCamp is moving. SP keeps telling us to "find an exercise you like" and to "change things up periodically". Sounds to me that you're doing both.

I love your descriptions of your BootCamp exercises. On one of Nicole's other videos she showed us how to do modified jumping jacks. Now I do them any time that jumping jacks are on the menu. I'm not a teen any more and my "girls" are too developed to be bouncing them around with jumping jacks.

Keep us laughing and smiling. Keep YOU laughing and smiling.
