A Star Is Born

If you believe the title of this then I have some ocean front property to sell you!

Friday was the day that Joshua and I went to Lawrence to be in a movie. We had such a great time! He is really hooked now and wants to pursue this as a career. I told him fine but the next jobs had to be in bigger films that paid, this is a very small low budget independent that couldn't pay extras, which is OK and a great way to start but he needs to move up the ladder.
I think the moving up won't take long and we both made great contacts. He for what he wants and I for my business. This was a trip that paid off.

The film has 6 major roles that were filled by what they call "B" Lister's and TV personalities, but hey they all know everyone. My company is a sponsor of the film and my products will be in it as well as being named in the credits. I gave the 6 principles gift baskets of my products as part of the sponsorship and they all seemed thrilled. They used my truck with the logo but they aren't sure how well it will come out in the finished product. I'm OK, it's a start and it will only get better. I made friends in the right places and I'll use that to my companies advantage. The really handsome one told me if the products I gave him smelled half as good as I did he was going to have to chase the women off. This guy also kissed me so now I'm going to have the dirtiest face ever 'cause I don't want to wash if off! Joshua said if that was the case I won't be taking a shower 'cause the guy was always hugging me. Thanks, Joshua! The one actress and I seemed to be instant friends and she told me to use her name when I called studios to do product placement in up coming films and TV. How cool is that? OK, I'll tell you who the handsome guy is Matthew Del Negro. He played in the Sopranos and the sexy mechanic Giovanni in Rizzoli and Isles. I didn't even think to ask him to hook me up with Angie Harmon, darn! He's done more but I figure those are the ones more people would recognize. He's a super nice guy and married.

I did take a few pictures but they didn't come out well enough to pass on and that is a bummer.

So that is how my Friday in the movie went. I'm ready to do it again!

I do have pictures of my peacock. No, you haven't missed the finished product. I don't have it framed because I haven't found exactly what I want, but it's ready to go whenever I do.

No the glass is not dotted that is the board I build on showing through.

Wishing you all great success on your journey and meeting your goals. Have a great Sunday!

It turned out great SEK, like we all knew it would. You definitely have talent!

As far as the movie time - how very exciting. Your hard work is paying off as we had no doubt it would. It won't be long and your products will be a common knowledge product out there. Great job!

    Looking forward to March!

Aha, now I "get" the talk of movie and starts, etc. Sounds like a really fun (and beneficial) adventure. Good luck with your business. And, the stained blass peacock is BEAUTIFUL. SS was right, there are lot of crafty/talented people on this team. I'll sit on the bleachers and sing your praises -- no artistic talents here. LOL!

I had given up on ever seeing the peacock, wow it turned out fabulous.
I sure hope the networking at the movie pays off in dividends for your business. If this movie gets released nationally you will have to tell us when and the name so we can look for the xtras
