Standing up

Today my friends and I went to Ukraine East in the Village. I went to menu pages and decided that considering my commitment to weight loss, I would have scallops. Well what in the world you will say am I going to a Ukrainian restaurant for and ordering scallops.
Perogis with sour cream or potato pancakes or . . . . l considered my options and stuck by my decision when I got there. The scallops were really bad. I had small tastes of the goulash and the pancake and the perogi and said no to second tastes.
The conversations were lively and I enjoyed myself. I did not eat fried food or food in heavy sauce.
I am building a way for myself to eat even when it seems unreasonable.
Building a habit or way of standing up to myself and for myself is worth more than the low calories in that meal.
