The 12th Annual Just A Short Run (JASR) is a benefit race for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. JASR is one of the largest run/walk events in Western PA and is one of the largest half-marathons as well. It is being held on Saturday, March 31st, at North Park.
JASR is comprised of 4 events:
- 1/2 Marathon run/walk
- 30K Run (runners only in 30K due to time limits)
- 8.1 Mile Run
- 5K Run/Walk
For the 3rd year in a row, Sparkers are going to come together for this event. Come out and join us! We have runners and walkers and cheerleaders as well. Non-Spark family and friends are also welcome! Lots of people are from Pittsburgh, but we have Sparkers from as far as Florida and California joining us as well. Coach Nancy will also be joining us again (and she is just as awesome in person as she is here).
We have a Spark team set up for the event:

Our out-of-town Sparkers (and some locals) will be staying at the Comfort Inn in Cranberry. In addition to the actual race there will be opportunities on Friday night and Saturday to get together and get to know other Sparkers.

I have been there both years and cannot wait to go again. I am walking the 5K and I am not fast but it is so awesome to cross that finish line and see Sparkers there cheering you on.
