I love 3-day weekends. LOVE THEM. Although having a Friday the 13th just before a 3-day weekend was a little bit much excitability for middle schoolers. They weren't BAD, just a bit more squirrelly than normal. I was SO SO SO glad to get home from them! :p
Last night I was just completely exhausted. I kept telling myself that it appeared that Friday was going to be my "no exercise" day (it's usually designated as Sunday) because I'm just so tired by the end of the week. I literally laid down on the couch and was tempted to just not move at all for the entire night. But I kept having that little voice tell me to get my butt up and at least just walk. It didn't have to be a full-on push myself to my limits walk - I just needed to exercise. So I dragged myself up, got my exercise clothes on, and hit the treadmill. Then I immediately went into my daughter's room and did my bootcamp video. So glad I did. I ended up blowing my calories on pistachios (was craving salt and reading and I have a nice big bag of them from Costco), but I'm not gonna beat myself up over it.
Today I have been so so so lazy so far. I got up at 5:15 and walked the dogs, laid back down and the hubby started snoring in my ear. I moved to the couch and one of the dogs, at 6:30, started begging to go out again (grrrr), so out we went. Came back in and laid down on the couch thinking I'd doze for a little longer. Three hours later, I woke back up. :) I guess I was tired and needed sleep! I vaguely remember hearing my husband go out to smoke and making coffee, but strangely, that wasn't enough to make me wake up.
In a while I need to get myself up and do my run - today I'm going to try to push it to a 5-minute longer run (I'm doing modified C25K-ish intervals to get myself back into it) and then do the bootcamp dvd. I love when I get the workouts done early so that they're not hanging over my head all day. But gosh it's hard to make myself do that.
Tonight is date night with the boy before he leaves for Florida for the week. :( I'm sure I'll go over calories, and I'll end up being up a bit tomorrow, but I'll lose it again. :)
