my Journey

2011 flew by, I have achieved many goals and plan to sprint into 2012 with full force!

In 2010 I decided I wanted to change. I had my third baby and wasn't losing weight as fast as the other two. 2010 I committed to change:

I started running, I signed up for my first half marathon and decided I was going to show up to the starting line no matter what. I started losing weight and was excited how I felt when I finished my runs. The more I ran I began to see weight coming back on....I realized I was burning calories that I needed to replace so I wasn't making my weight loss goals. I also started doing Jillian Michaels dvds but was losing maybe 3-4lbs each program if I was lucky.

I read in Runner's World that when training for longer runs you may actually gain weight. I was beginning to see this. So I was stuck at 166lbs for almost 4 months. With a goal of 145lbs this was not working.

Once I finished my half marathon I shorten my runs but still hadn't seen the results I wanted so I decided to start strength training. If I wasn't going to be 145lbs at least I would be muscular. I started drinking Shakeology once a day to help me stay fuller and in my calorie range, and began Chalean Extreme. I complete this workout on monday and am excited with my results. I am now 156 (1olb loss) and am proud of how I look. Chalene Johnson is a fabulous trainer and is so motivational. I also had a PushJumpStart Challenge with great results and started Team Skinny to hold everyone accountable which is key in weight loss.

I will post pics next week as my day one for my next workout program Turbofire! This weekend I am doing some of the workouts for fun! I can't wait to see the results of Turbofire and the women's results who are joining me in this challenge!
